Sampling Technician

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting samples to ensure correct composition for analysis. He or she may also participate in sample preparation.

Responsibilities and Duties

·  Collect samples according to ASTM D883 and D2234 using automated collection equipment and manual sampling equipment used to comprise gross sample

·  Fill out sample Chains of Custody, recording location, weight of samples, etc.

·  Transport samples from sampling locations to laboratory

·  Assist Laboratory Technicians in preparation

·  Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure sample integrity and quality control

·  Recognize and report any sample issues

Qualifications

·  High school diploma

·  Must be able to read, understand, and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate, and timely manner

·  Full Class 5 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract

·  Capable of prioritizing tasks to meet goals and ensure product quality

·  Willing to meet on-call obligations as needed

·  Ability to communicate effectively

·  Physical strength to lift 50 lbs.
